About Me
Hi, I’m Holly Hurd, founder of the Nantucket Collective. I fell in love with Nantucket on my first visit in 1982 and have been returning ever since. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the Nantucket Farmers and Artisans market every Saturday during the season in the middle of town. Often, I leave wanting more things and contact information on the artisans and vendors that I’ve met. Many times, I haven’t been able to find a way to contact them. That is how the idea for the Nantucket Collective was born. There are directories for stores and restaurants but nothing specific to the many Nantucket-inspired vendors who offer items that Nantucket lovers want.
Shop Local
Everything from stationary to fish prints, toffee to art blocks, kids’ sweaters to jewelry – the Nantucket Collective will be the source to find these artisans and creators. As a huge supporter of entrepreneurs through my blog VentureMom.com, I understand how busy a vendor can be just running their own business and creating their goods. They don’t have time to do the necessary marketing to grow. The Nantucket Collective will be sharing these stories, info and products to the exact audience artisans and creators want to reach.
